Where "Accommodation" Begins And Ends
They start at my rights and they end at yours
Accommodation is not and will never be "at the expense of someone else's rights and dignity"
β‘οΈAny person or conversation that ignores this fact has simply decided that there is somebody who's dignity and respect is not equally deserving of consideration. That there's someone whom it is acceptable to violate in order to accommodate this other person.
Why?? The only answer is "bigotry". Anyone who says this is a fucking asshole πβ¬

Therefore, they are not part of the narrative. They get to go to shut up, do their homework, and come back when they understand the assignment. We aren't even allowing the possibility of someone being violated. Everyone is equally entitled to accommodation, dignity, and the "pursuit of happiness".
We don't play "who is more deserving?" because everyone is equally deserving.
I have a full right to live in this world accommodated to the absolute best of this world's resources and abilities. Disabled is a verb reflecting what this world does to us, not the state of our being.
I have this right for no reason other than I am a living human being, same as every human being in the totality of our existence. Human rights are invioable.
I also accept that my rights end where yours begin because you have an equal right to live in this world. Accommodation does and will always include dignity, respect, and basic standard of humanity.
Accommodation and inclusivity are about doing the most good with the least harm - for anyone involved or affected.
Yes it is unfair sometimes, but don't get mad at me- get mad at the system that makes us make these distinctions. Get mad at the system that makes it so difficult for us to do both.
Don't like it? Challenge it, not me. I didn't create it, I'm not upholding it, and I'm doing everything I can to dismantle it. All I'm doing is stating some uncomfortable truths.
